Chris Lenox was born in Summit, NJ., in 1985, and moved to Covington, LA. in 1991. He began studying guitar in 1995. He fell in love with music largely by way of his uncle and grandfather’s mix tapes as well as country music that was played on the radio. He later became very excited by guitarists such as Jeff Beck, David Gilmour, Steve Howe, Allan Holdsworth, and Steve Hillage, among others. He began taking private lessons with Benny Dominach, and eventually continued studying the guitar with David Bivens, Victor Larocca, Phil Patterson, Joe Manuel, and Phil DeGruy.
Over the years he has performed live and recorded with The Consortium of Genius, Rik Slave and The Phantoms, Livingtree, If, and many others, while rarely performing as a solo artist. In 2015, he released his first professionally produced solo effort "... and The Void Stared Back" and in 2016 it's follow up "Ghosts". As of 2017, Chris has begun performing with his own group consisting of Jon Arceneaux on drums, Rex Gregory on keyboards, and Owen Pascual on bass.
